Happy Independence St. Kitts and Nevis

Thinking about working, studying or visiting another CARICOM country?

Tell Jo where you are starting and where you want to go. We will help you work out what to check first, and organise the flights, papers and arrival details around it.

We explain the process and organise the arrangements. The offices, schools, employers and banks make their own decisions.

Celebrating St. Kitts and Nevis’s Independence

St. Kitts and Nevis gained independence from the United Kingdom on 19 September 1983.

From St. Kitts and Nevis to opportunities across CARICOM, Expeditions With Jo helps CARICOM citizens make their next move, with support to visit, work, or study with a clear plan.

Meet Jo, your partner for your expeditions

So as you can tell from the video, I am Grenadian. I moved to Trinidad in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, which made that process about as painstaking as it gets. Then I moved again to Jamaica in 2025. Before deciding either time, I worked through what all twelve CSME countries require, so I was choosing rather than guessing.

You'd be working with someone who has actually done this, not just read about it, and who knows where the pitfalls and the unnecessary administrative delays usually are.*

Travelling itself is the easy part. As a former travel agency owner, I handle that side for you with no fuss: flights, ground transfers, accommodation. My rates usually come in lower than what you'd pay elsewhere.

To be clear about that: I cannot speed up or override anybody’s process. What I can do is make sure the only waiting you do is the waiting that is built in, rather than extra weeks caused by something missing or wrong in your application.

As of September 2026. Every arrangement still depends on the decisions of the offices, schools and employers involved.

Being straight with you

What I can do, and what I cannot do

What I can do

  • Explain what your destination asks for, and which office handles it
  • Work out what order things have to happen in
  • Check your documents over before you hand anything in
  • Book the flights, the stay and the transfers
  • Tell you where people usually come unstuck

What I cannot do

  • Whether you get a Skills Certificate, a visa or a permit
  • Whether a school takes you, and whether an employer hires you
  • Whether a bank opens your account
  • Whether immigration lets you in, and for how long
  • What the fees are and how long any of it takes

If anyone in this line of work promises you a certificate, a visa or a job, walk away.

How it works

What working with me looks like

No mystery to it.

  1. 1

    You tell me the plan

Where you are, where you want to go, and why. Usually enough to start.

  2. 2

    I tell you what applies

Which route fits your situation, and what the office handling it will ask you for.

  3. 3

    We get it organised

Papers in order, flights booked, somewhere to stay, transfers arranged. As much or as little as you want.

I help you get your documents in order, put the application together, and once something is approved, carry it out. What I cannot do is approve it. A CSME certificate, a student permit, a place at a school, a bank account, a tenancy: each one is somebody else's decision, and nobody outside those offices can promise you an answer.
